Don’t forget to activate Chase Freedom’s 4th quarter 5% bonus category for purchases from October 1st thru December 31st at Walmart and other department stores. If you didn’t receive the email, just head over to the Chase’s website.
It should be very easy to max out the $1500 limit with Walmart alone with Christmas coming up. Don’t forget Walmart Gift Cards can also be used at Sam’s Club if you are a member.
Have no idea what I’m talking about? Let me explain-
The Chase Freedom card earns valuable Chase Ultimate Rewards points with no annual fee. The best feature about this card is that each quarter Chase has a different category that earns 5% up to $1500.
While this year’s fourth quarter category is Walmart and other department stores, previous categories included Amazon.com, restaurants, and gas stations.
If you max out the $1500 limit each quarter, you will have 30,000 points at the end of the year.
While Ultimate Reward points are worth a minimum of one cent each, but if you have another premium Chase Ultimate Reward card such as the Chase Ink Preferred or Chase Sapphire Preferred you can transfer these points to airlines or hotel transfer partners and get amazing value.
This amazing beach villa at the Park Hyatt Maldives is only 25,000 points/night!
Interest in applying for the Chase Freedom card? If you use this link you will earn 15,000 points worth at least $150 (and help support this blog!) after spending only $500 in the first three months.
