Blog Reports

I started 'The Art of Travel Hacking' blog this past month - February 2017.  I had just returned from my first 'aspirational' award trip to the Maldives flying in Qatar Business class and Etihad First Class for the long journey and got a ton of questions from people when they heard about my trip.  I thought creating a blog would be helpful to show other newbies how to make these type trips possible with very little money.

After doing a little searching on how to start a blog, I found a couple of people who would post income reports and my jaw dropped when I saw how some people made a living from blogging.  Specifically I read all about Abby & Donnie at Just a Girl and Her Blog started in January 2013 and as of December 2016 they are making $35,000 per MONTH!  So I thought if they can do it, why can't I?

Since I'm so new to this, I'm trying to come up with some goals - I really have no idea on what is realistic.  After reading Just a Girl and Her Blog's income & traffic reports, I'm going to set the following goals for myself and this blog:

By February 2020 (3 years from start):

  • Net Income - $10,000/month
  • Pageviews - 250,000/month
  • Email Subscribers - 50,000 total

I like the idea of publishing monthly blog reports so I can share my journey.  Do you think I can do it?  Have any tips or tricks? - I'd love to hear them.

Check out my latest monthly blog report below.
